Some Other Special Resources
|
|
| A miscellany to browse | ||
| The envocare site contains hundreds of pointers to relevant resources. Nevertheless in our researches we came across others which seemed important but which didn't naturally fit in with our topics, so they are included here. Some deal with data services, others with job opportunities, even the odd publication. We have included international environmental organisations and government departments. Most have some claim to be environmentally or ecologically friendly but not all. Some relate to software or search engine services which helped with developing or running the site. | ||
| Although we declare them to be important or interesting, we don't necessarily agree with their content or views expressed and we cannot be responsible for individual privacy policies. | ||

| Search
engines and directories etc |
||||
| Having returned
to the business of submitting to search engines and directories after
a break for a couple of years it was alarming to find the blatant commercialism
which dominated the scene. While it is understandable that the organizations
have to make their way financially, the methods used seem to mitigate
against their reasons for existence; namely independent research. For
a few personal comments on our experiences over the initial few months

ODP meta search directory is welcome.
