And here are some questions, the answers to which seem to elude us. Enigmania 1 Why is it that if I go to an auction and successfully bid for an item that it costs me more than it would have fetched if I had not gone and someone else had bought it? 2 Why is it that the last 5% of a bar of soap lasts more than twice as long as the first 95%? 3 Why is it that, when we're looking to move house, the only properties for sale are on a main road, back on to a railway or have north easterly facing gardens? 4 Why is it that everyone assumes that the universe started? 5 Why is it that many religious groups argue that theirs is the only God, when it is clear that all of them except one must be wrong, or all of them are wrong? 6 Why is that politicians who preach zero tolerance for criminal activities don't make it clear that this policy does not apply to them? 7 Why is it that youth often seems to be wasted on the young? (Apologies, we weren't the first to think of that one, but at least the author was our namesake)
